Take a look at Paul Fehrmann's comments on the EBSS List Serv: In taking a look at the use of Thesaurii in databases, he said, " Joelle and I are going to be presenting (poster) at the EBSS Research Forum where we can share additional summary points and more comments on the study. The study actually used a checklist developed/being developed for the evaluation of computer search reports, and an article on the study submitted for publication is currently under review. The actual poster presentation focus is on the checklist. Poster title: Creating a resource for evaluating computer search reports in systematic reviews. "
Tell your colleagues and ALA friends to come to the forum. There are SIX presentations, all on good topics.
Adis Beesting e-mailed a week or so ago to say she is unable to attend ALA Annual this June. Best wishes to her daughter's early start at UCF this weekend.! Karen Hartman of the committee has an unexpected family event this same weekend. Virtual Members, Scott Lancaster and Anne Buchanan will be following the activities online. Fortunately, virtual member Yu Hui Chen is attending, and she will be the photographer for the Research Forum. Cristina Dominguez Ramirez, Helga Visscher and Jason Martin and Penny Beilie make up the rest of the 2009-2010 EBSS Research Committee Roster. Penny will be presenting at the Forum. The rest of us will be handling the logistics of helping the presenters set up, greet the presenters, guest, the APA staff and award winning librarian.
Committee members for the 2010-2011 year include the following people: Chair: Cristina Ramirez; Members - Penny Beile, Yu-Hui chen, Karen Hartman, Bernadette Lear, Jason Martin, Paula McMillen.
