Charge: To recommend to the ACRL Board the appointment of editors of ACRL journals and publications for which there are no paid staff; to approve the appointment of editorial board members on the recommendation of the respective editors; to advise the ACRL Board and Budget and Finance committee on matters relating to ACRL publications; to promote writing and effective research methods to librarians; to gather stakeholder input regarding new publishing directions for the purposes of recommending specific actions or for the purposes of advising the ACRL Board; to encourage the recruitment of new authors and to bring them into the ACRL publishing pipeline by referring them to the appropriate editor; and to promote author submission of proposals and manuscripts across the full range of ACRL publications.

    Or, alternately, boards 9-10:30, PCC 10:30 to noon. Or am I missing something? I don't know how much time PCC needs this meeting, but our board, at least, would rather try to be more succint and power through in a shorter time than start at 8:30, which isn't going to work for several people.

    I agree with Beth.  Our Board is leaning towards meeting from 9:00-10:30 instead of using the entire two hour time block.  Beginning at 8:30 would cause several members to miss the first portion of the meeting.

    My committee can get its work done in 90 minutes, and I think PCC needs the extra time.

    Beth's alternate proposal seems like a satisfactory compromise. PCC meets 10:30-12; Ed Boards meet 9:00-10:30. As Dalia indicated, that will work for the CHOICE board. I don't know about the other Ed Boards, but I presume folks will find a way to make the schedule work, whatever it is. Do we have a final decision?
