Hi Sara,

I've found RIG's General Resources page very useful. There are also a few publications we've used in the RIG Assessment Team:

Also, a colleague shared this great March 21 Twitter thread by the Dr. April Hathcock: How to match 0 Black people in a residency (a thread)

Hope this helps,

Staci

Subject: Residency Readings?

Hello! As the residency coordinator at my library, I am bringing together a small internal committee to review the purpose and practices of our (diversity) residency and make recommendations for the next iteration. They will all have had experience working with residents in the past and some awareness of the issues with residencies, our campus, our library, etc. I'd also like to give them some context on the latest conversations happening among residents and among coordinators. What articles, presentations, blog posts, twitter threads, etc. have you read recently that might give some helpful insight to this group as we ponder questions like, "what is the purpose of our diversity residency? is it accomplishing what we hoped? are residents having the experience they want/need/deserve? what changes are necessary to improve our residency program?"
Thanks for any recommendations!
Sara
