I've sent quite a few messages to the tech support folks at OSF over the years, and they've been pretty fast in responses. See:

Subject: OSF Preregistration versioning
Has anyone else run into the frustration of OSF not allowing updates to preregistered Protocols. I work primarily with Scoping Reviews and they often want to make updates, but OSF forces them to create a new registration. It just doesn't seem like a practical solution when a research team simply wants to update the eligibility criteria to add a single new exclusion criteria. As far as I'm aware these kinds of protocol updates are pretty common for Scoping Reviews. Does anyone have a better alternative? Either within OSF or for another registry?
Thanks,
