When you search PubMed I believe you are searching MEDLINE only. I'm not aware of a list of every database available.  Is the student interested in biomedical databases only or ALL databases?  There are many libguides with lists of recommended databases for systematic reviews but I'm not aware of a comprehensive list of all databases.

Hello,
I was asked two particular questions that I don't have ready answers for. I wonder if anyone here can comment.
1) A student who is doing a systematic review for a course on conducting research has asked if when one is doing a search in PubMed if the search is looking through ALL the databases listed on the Electronic Databases & Directories:Alphabetical List? That is, does Pubmed source from all of the databases listed there when you do a basic MESH term search (e.g., thyroid AND diet)?
2) The student also wants to know if there is a comprehensive list somewhere online of EVERY database out there (not just PubMed or those our library offers). Does such a list exist?

Thank you for any comments!
