ACRL Government Relations Committee Members,
I would like to welcome you as we begin our 2022-2023 term of service for this committee!
I have attached a document that includes both the Year End Report for this past year's work and the Work Plan for this year's committee. Thanks to outgoing chair, Erik Nordberg, for his efforts in this regard. Please note, the work plan portion of this document has not yet been finalized. In particular, I would like to confirm deadlines for the submission of our penultimate and final drafts of the 2023 ACRL Legislative Agenda. As soon these dates are confirmed, I will upload this document to the digital library attached to our committee's ALA Connect portal.
I would like to bring us together for our first meeting sometime during the month of August. I apologize for the large number of poll options, but we typically need an extensive poll to find a time that works for this many folks. Once we determine a date, I will forward an agenda and video-conferencing link for the meeting.
The general purpose of this first meeting is to introduce ourselves to one another, as well as set expectations for this year's committee work. I expect we may also start sorting through potential policy issues that we would like to highlight in the ACRL Legislative Agenda.
