Intellectual Freedom Web Meeting- January 21st

  • 1.  Intellectual Freedom Web Meeting- January 21st

    Posted Dec 31, 2014 02:00 PM

The ALA Office for Intellectual Freedom has scheduled a web meeting, in hopes that school librarians will be available to share their experiences and raise issues that are specific to their institutes.

    WEDNESDAY JANUARY 21, 3:30pm CST (4:30pm EST, 1:30pm PST, 2:30 MST)

All State IFC Chairs and/or Representatives are welcome to attend. There is plenty of virtual meeting room space so if you know of a school librarian interested in IF issues or has struggled with a challenge, please invite them.

    Agenda:

What are the specific needs and challenges of school librarians in the context of IF issues?

Do you feel school librarians can reach out for support?

    Curriculum vs Library Material Challenges?

How do your AASL IF associations work?

You can join the online meeting by visiting http://ala.adobeconnect.com/stateifc .  You’ll need a stable internet connection and working headphones/speakers.  Microphones and webcams are not required but they do make the meeting more engaging.
