    I have been recently appointed the Head of Assessment, Planning, and Scholarly Communication at the Galvin Library at the Illinois Institute of Technology. I have over 15 years of experience in libraries, including serving on search committees, workgroups, and organizational taskforces. I also have two years of organizational leadership experience working with the Northwestern University Library's staff association. I received the distinguished thesis award for my Northwestern Master's in Liberal Studies degree in 2009, and I graduated from the University of Illinois' GSLIS LEEP program in the Spring of 2011. I also have received the Illinois State Library and Information Science Training Grant.

This position will initiate and lead IIT Libraries’ partnerships with researchers, students, and scholars in the creation of a scholarly communications program. In collaboration with administrators and staff throughout the Libraries, this position will develop, facilitate, and implement successful and sustainable assessment programs in order to enhance existing services, collections, and space as well as identify the need for new services, collections, or space, both physical and virtual.</span></p>
