    Sara Holder is a tenured Associate Professor and Head of the Research and Information Services unit at the University of Illinois - Champaign/Urbana Library. Prior to joining the UIUC Library, she held multiple positions at McGill University Library in Montreal, most recently Head of the library's Research Commons. Sara began her library career as a Reference Librarian and also held the position of Interim Project Manager/Associate Director of the Cultural Policy & the Arts National Data Archive at Princeton University. She received her MLIS from Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois and her BA from Vassar College. She is active in numerous professional organizations and she serves as a manuscript referee for several publications. Her research interests include the changing role of librarians, library assessment strategies, information literacy and collection development.
