Warning message

The launch of the new ALA Connect, scheduled for April 25, 2018, has been delayed due to technical issues. During final testing some critical issues related to navigation, tagging, and the structure of parent-child relationships were discovered.

The vendor is working to resolve these issues. We apologize for the delay and thank you for your patience.

While we're waiting to get started, please check out the resources and training on the support site. We'll keep you updated, in particular, we will communicate when we have a firm launch date.

If you have questions, please feel free to contact Pam Akins, Community Engagement Specialist, at alaconnectmigration@ala.org.

I come to librarianship with a non-profit background in youth development, family engagement, community outreach and information management. In youth services within public librarianship, I have a true professional home. Born and raised in San Francisco, I'm honored to serve in the system that served me since childhood. After being the children's librarian at the Bayview Branch for many years, I am now the Family Engagement Coordinator on the central Youth Services team, where I coordinate system wide programs and partnerships. I'm particularly passionate about STEM programming, outreach to the low income and immigrant communities, and diversity in family programming. I am a proud member of ALSC, APALA, REFORMA, and the Association of Children's Librarians of Northern California.
