    Bio
While serving as the librarian at Travis Vanguard and Academy (Dallas ISD) for 16 years, I was actively involved in the Dallas Association of School Librarians, the Texas Library Association, and the American Association of School Librarians (AASL Board of Directors/Region 6/2011-2013). A career highlight was being a mentor to the outstanding TALL Texans Class of 2016. I am currently the Texas Association for School Librarians’ Councilor (2016-2019) and a new member of the Texas Bluebonnet Award Program Committee (2016-2019). A recent retiree after 26 years in public education, I look forward to continue being an active library and literacy advocate! Follow me @SusiGrissom
