Various topics of interest include depository libraries, government information collections, open access, transparency, and preservation of government information, E-government, Government 2.0, and using social networks to collect and disseminate government information and more!

A professional networking and collaboration community for METRO member librarians aimed at catalyzing connections and building relationships between, around, and within a diverse community of institutions.

Provides an ALA organizational home for members interested in facilitating public forums, fostering civic engagement, and framing issues for deliberation in their communities. Provides a mechanism for sharing experiences in convening and/or moderating forums. Provides a base for conference programming, formal contacts, e-lists, etc. Encourages participation in deliberative forum training efforts and local partnerships to help communities understand issues of concern and solve problems together.
