The School Library Media Month community is designed to give school library media specialists a place to discuss and generate ideas for promoting School Library Media Month.

School Library Media Month 2010 (April 1-30) will be promoted with the theme "Communities thrive @ your library."

Mission:  to be a voice for urban school librarians to AASL--- to share stories, strategies, what works, what needs improvement, so that we can understand the common issues and needs.  

Ultimately, AASL will learn from the discussion and that will enable them to give a clearer charge to the proposed AASL task force on urban school libraries.
