Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) Numeric and Geospatial Data Services in Academic Libraries Interest Group

The Web Team maintains rbms.info and various other electronic publication venus. It is a subcommittee of the RBMS Publications Committee.

DRAFT statement:

To create a forum where instructional design librarians and others interested in instructional design can meet and share ideas, discuss and recommend resources and tools, discuss issues related to instructional design in libraries and collaborate on projects.

A community designed for librarians of South Texas to share resources and create collaborative projects.

All librarians are welcome to join in on this ALA Connect Community.

To provide academic librarians with a forum to discuss issues related to all types of library service to international patrons, including instruction, outreach, reference, collections, and programming; develop guidelines and resources that will assist academic librarians with providing quality services to their international constituencies.

The ACRL Image Resources Interest Group provides a forum for ongoing discussion of the unique issues presented by the development and support of interdisciplinary image resources in academic libraries.

To provide information and activities for ACRL members and to recruit new ACRL members through virtual worlds like Second Life; to manage the ACRL presence in Second Life; to participate and support the activities of ACRL in virtual worlds on an ongoing basis; to hold meetings within these virtual environments at ALA and ACRL conferences to share information and provide professional networking opportunities.

Libraries and librarians are all about sharing. Academic libraries are now looking for strategic and creative ways to extend partnerships that will strengthen resources and services. This community provides a forum to discuss ideas from shared collection development and catalogs to consortia and staff development and beyond.

To promote continuing education among instruction librarians so that we can get closer to our universal vision of information literate students, faculty, staff, and society.

Hosted by the AASL/ACRL Interdivisional Committee on Information Literacy, this community is a place for sharing ideas, resources, and information. We want to use the power of community to make this THE place to go to promote the seamless integration of information literacy from K-12 education through college.
