I hope that those of you planning on going to the ALA Midwinter Meeting in Boston will be able to attend the Dance Librarians Discussion Group meeting on Saturday, January 16, 2010, from 1:30 to 3:30 pm, in the Alcott Room at the Westin Boston Waterfront.

I still am very much in the process of finalizing the agenda and would most welcome your suggestions.  I can confirm that we will be having a special guest who will give a presentation (more details to follow), but we also will have ample time for discussion.

    Topics so far include:

    1. Training opportunities for M.L.I.S. students and others seeking to specialize in dance librarianship (or dance archives).

    2. Mentoring of M.L.I.S. students and/or librarians with an interest in dance.

    3. Future of the DLDG-L listserv.

    4. Virtual meetings for ALA members who cannot attend Midwinter or Annual.

Please feel free to post your ideas here or on the Arts Section blog.
