ALA Connect User logins are disabled for a temporary "gray-out" period, to prevent new posts while we upgrade into the New Connect. This gray-out period will begin on March 26th, and the new site will be launched on April 25th.

Users can use Search to view public content. Logins will be reinstated and users can create new posts, upload files, etc. post launch.

CHARGE:  The Program Planning & Publications Committee is responsible for drafting annual and long-range goals for the section and coordinating activities of all section committees related to preservation education, publication and program planning.

SCOPE OF WORK:  To identify and recommend to the PARS Executive Committee new activities and publications to be undertaken by the section, and to coordinate section planning and publications with the ALCTS Committee on Planning.


  • Facilitates development of preservation programs, publications and educational opportunities
  • Coordinates these activities with PARS Executive Committee, Promoting Preservation Interest Group, and other ALA committees as needed
