Online Doc Using Wordpress
Login & passwords
Login page: http://yalsa.ala.org/blog/wp-login.php
A link to the wordpress login is located on the YALSA blog in the right-hand column (the orange one) at the bottom under admin. YALSA staff or the blog manager can register new bloggers. You will be assigned a password, please change your password using "Your Profile" on the WordPress dashboard.
Formatting
Copying and pasting from Word can be problematic. It's better to write straight into the WordPress template, or use a format-neutral program like notepad.
More links
After one or two paragraphs, add a "more" link by clicking on the piece of paper cut in half in the WordPress toolbar. In HTML, it looks like this: <!--more-->. Using the "more" link makes it easier to scan the front page, and when someone clicks on the more link we can track it statistically and have a better idea of what posts are being read.
Categories and tags
You can select from both in the right column of the template. We are trying to gain some consistency in categories and tags so at least to start you might want to work with what's already there.
