Hello!

This is a very early announcement of MAGERT's upcoming program for ALA Annual 2010 in DC titled "GIS in EVERY Library:  Making it happen".  We're in the planning stages but look forward to our panelists telling the details of how GIS has happened in their libraries.  If you have any questions or would like to sponsor or partner with MAGERT on this program, do not hestitate to contact me!

Regards,

See http://delicious.com/gis_resources for a good starting point for finding GIS resources on the Web.

A group to provide expertise to ALA membership in matters of GIS, originating from MAGERT, your maps & geography round table.  Given the inherent interdisciplinary nature of GIS, we would love to have an active community from across the spectrum of ALA to share in what is being done, what might be done, and how MAGERT can serve to facilitate that.  Please join this community for an informal and lively discussion.  We hope to have community members from BRASS, RUSA, LITA, MAGERT, GODORT and many others!
