Dr. E. J. Josey, founder of the BCALA passes away on July 3rd, 2009.

Dr. Josey was benefactor, mentor, and role model to students. Authored 12 books and 300 articles, he has been the president of the American Library Association (ALA) and founded its Black Caucus.
