Discussion Contacting Local Businesses

Scott, you mentioned that we should contact local businesses to be partners. Here in NYC there are plenty of Game Stop shops. Isn't that a chain? They seem like a good place to go to ask for partnerships, but I'm thinking that it really can't be considered a local store. What 's your opinion?

Go for it! It might not lead to anything, but even a chain is part of a community with community members working there.

Thanks, Scott. I have been viewing your course on YouTube since the beginning. It's really good and has opened some ideas for me. I just graduated from library school and in the fall will be running a library in a NYC public school for students with severe learning and emotional abilities. I'm thinking gaming might be a good hook for some of them. I need to convince my boss (the principal of the school.)

Noah,
Hi. I have a friend who's wife helps with the learning and emotionally challenged kids at a grade school. He's gone in a few times with games and donated a few and may have some ideas for you. If you are interested let me know perhaps you two can hook up.
Chris
Sure, that sounds good.

Hi,let me know if you'd like a referral to the Pacer Center, an organization in my city that works with kids with a range of disabilities. I would suspect staff there could help you with both talking points for administration as well as specific games.
