Does anyone know how to reset password. The information twitter sends does not let me reset but takes me to the page to set up a new account.  I have tried about 50 times.

When you log in, hit forgot password (link underneath login) and it will let you reset your password that way by sending a link to your email account linked with your twitter account.

thanks for your reply but that is not working I tried 50 times it sends the link but it links me back to setting up a new account and does not give password.  I have e-mailed twiter perhaps that will help.  I already knew about the selecting forgot password

Is there a link/button that allows me to actually vote in this poll? I'm not seeing it.

You have to log in to vote

You have to be a member of the RUSA MARS Public Libraries committee, because it's a working group and not an open community.  :)

Jenny,

I am, though, a member of RUSA MARS Public Libraries (Machine-Assisted Reference Section)

Isn't that enough to allow me to vote or do I have to be a member of the RUSA MARS Public Libraries group.

Hi, Stephen -

1. This is a committee, so you have to be part of this committee as it's listed in our membership database.

2. When I look in our database, I only show you as part of ACRL, ACRL CLS, ACRL IS, and LHRT. If you're supposed to be part of RUSA, MARS, and/or this committee, let me know and we'll start investigating the problem.

All of your ALA "group" affiliations synchronize from our database, although you can join any community. I know the terminology is a little confusing, but it's the best we could come up with.

LMK if you have further questions.

I'm confused, though. Yes, I am not a RUSA member (anymore), but I was able to join this seciton. So I can join the section but my ability to fully participate is determined by whether I'm a dues paying member. I can see the logic about why it was set up this way, but it's not at all clear when you join a community that this might be an issue. This aspect of varying levels of access could probably be explained a bit better as the site matures.

Thanks for helping me sort this out.

Stephen, how did you "join" this section? Anyone can comment on public content, but you shouldn't be able to join it from within Connect. If you were able to, we have a different problem!

Thanks,
Jenny

BTW, I also updated the name of this group to include "Committee" to make it more obvious that it's a closed (for joining) group.

Jenny,

I'm not sure how I joined. It was at least a month or two ago when I did. I'm sure I saw a "join this group" kind of link that just worked for me.
