Discussion Meeting time and location

by Gary Fitsimmons on Wed, Jan 16, 2013 at 10:31 am

I neglected to include the time and location for the DG meeting at midwinter on this list, so I'll repeat the general appeal sent to the ALA list:

Do you have questions you need answered about organizational development at your library? Do you have some experience in this area to share with others?

The LLAMA-LOMS Organizational Development Discussion Group encourages you to join us at Midwinter to discuss what makes OD work at your library:

How do you start an OD program?

What makes up such a program?

What resources help make the program sustainable?

Where can you find champions for your program?

What followu-up activities should happen after conducting an organizational assessment?

If you want the answers to these and other questions or can help to answer them, come and share your experience and/or to gain from the experience of others!

We will convene in Room 303 of the Washington State Convention Center from 4:00-5:30pm on Saturday, January 26, 2013. See you there!

Discussion Midwinter meeting time

by Gary Fitsimmons on Thu, Jan 3, 2013 at 12:24 pm

Organizational Development DG Members,

The tentative time slot for the OD DG meeting at Midwinter 2013 is set right now to be Saturday evening from 4:30 - 5:30. Please let me know if there is any major objection to this time so that I can pass that on to those responsible for the scheduling.

This group lists 22 members. How many of you are planning on being at Midwinter this year? What related topics are of interest would you like to see on the discussion agenda for this meeting?

Post a reply to the group. Thanks!

Discussion What makes a "Leadership Development Program" work?

by Jerilyn Veldof on Tue, Mar 22, 2011 at 01:21 pm

Hi everyone,

I'm from the U of MN and we're about to expand our leadership development program.  We've been running a small-scale program this past year, investigating other models, and talking to a lot of folks internally about this.

I'd love to hear from others in the field who would like to share their experiences of what's worked - and what's not worked so well - in terms of LD.  Any advice to share?

Thanks!
