Hello everyone! K.T., thanks for getting us started! I'm thrilled to be working on this task force with all of you. Like K.T., I have never worked specifically on an ALSC Preconference task force, but I have been involved in ALSC events as a member and as a former executive director of the division. I've also got a marketing background, having working in children's book publishing before moving to Chicago and going to library school. I'm currently assistant dean at Dominican's Graduate School of Library and Information Science, so if you know any prospective librarians, send 'em my way!

Our mission is to plan the ALSC Preconference to be held during the 2013 ALA Annual Conference. The topic we've been assigned by incoming ALSC president Carolyn Brodie is the 75th Anniversary of the Caldecott Medal. The preconference is scheduled for June 28, 2013, and it will take place in Chicago, Illinois.
