Due to Kennesaw State University’s unprecedented growth and increased funding and support for its libraries, and due to the recent retirement of three senior-level librarians, the KSU Library System is currently recruiting for five librarian faculty positions, with one additional posting expected in late spring 2018. These positions reflect the Library’s and the University’s continued commitment to excellence in transforming its collections, services, facilities, and staffing. Position 1:

Graduate Librarian for Humanities and Social Sciences (Position Number 43055565)

Graduate Services Unit. Librarian Associate Professor Rank. The annual salary is set and non-negotiable at $70,000. This position requires advanced degrees beyond the MLIS along with a vita that supports the awarding of the rank of Librarian Associate Professor at time of hire. The position is open until filled, with a desired start date of July 1, 2018. Complete electronic applications received by 5pm April 12, 2018 given first consideration. Required Qualifications Include: Master’s degree in Library Science from an American Library Association accredited program or foreign equivalent, AND an earned Ph.D. in a discipline in humanities or social sciences AND a minimum of five years of recent, fulltime experience working as a librarian in a university library, OR, a second master’s degree in humanities or social sciences AND a minimum of seven years of recent, fulltime experience working as a librarian in a university library. A thorough knowledge of humanities and social science research methods, and information repositories and sources, including government documents and gray literature desired.
