When:  Jun 24, 2018 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM (CT)

Nontraditional partnerships are being forged to address longstanding urban neighborhood and community development issues. This program examines the relationship of design community and consumer health librarians as partners for community health. The library, is a significant component to the new “community center”. The relationship with nontraditional partners, stakeholders, and other components that make up neighborhoods-built environment can leverage the role of consumer health librarians. Nontraditional partnerships provide the perfect platform to advocate for the value of libraries and to ensure that all individuals and diverse populations have access to the information they need to make informed decisions.
