The University of Michigan’s Taubman Health Sciences Library is hiring an informationist to cultivate partnerships between THL and the health sciences community. The successful candidate will gain domain knowledge in biomedical sciences and information resources and use this to advance the work of health sciences researchers, educators, students and staff. We invite collaborative, enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals who can thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to join our team.

The position is flexible to allow candidates to highlight their unique skills, experience and interests. Previous health sciences experience is not required and we'd love to see a diverse range of strengths and passions represented in the applicant pool -- whether in education, research, clinical practice, data, coding, metadata, publishing, policy, information management, or any other area that would expand and enhance the scope of our work.

The library is committed to recruiting and retaining a diverse and inclusive workforce. We value the synergy that results from sharing and leveraging our different experiences, backgrounds, skills, talents, and interests to build an environment in which all our community members can flourish.

Salary: Appointment is anticipated as an assistant or associate librarian rank, with salary and rank dependent on candidate qualifications and experience.  Salary range begins at $ 52,000 minimum at assistant librarian, $59,000 minimum at associate librarian.
