Notes:

  • Media Literacy:  in progress. Alessia will work with PSU colleagues to remove the hierarchy structure

  • On the subject pages, change the name of the first box to “About”.   Refer to the Starting Points page in the About if there are no subject specific databases listed;  if there are subject specific Databases listed, link to the Starting Points page in that box.

  • Public Speaking; Health Communication; others?;  HS’s students will remove subject keywords as assets and add [in Worldcat?].  Subheadings can be unlinked (for narrowing searches).

  • Discussion:  concern over list of book titles --- AZ decided to list 10 seminal works

  • Gradual goal:  change boxes from content types to topic areas (instead of books and journals, have Media Law, First Amendment, etc.)

  • 10/27/17 minor edits to the Pub Guides Checklist (Google Doc version)
10/25/17 CM emailed the Pub Comm about our Guides Checklist; response:

If you are doing a complete overhaul of the content of the checklist, the Publications Committee will do a thorough

review and send back any recommendations for changes. If you are just doing some light touch ups or rearranging the order of the content, then we will do just a quick glance for a pair of fresh eyes to catch any grammatical stuff. Just send us a final draft when you are finished and we will take a look at it.  Let me know if you have any other questions.
