Now that you have the story, was there a specific person (or group) that stood for intellectual freedom?
Now you have two options; 1) nominate that person OR 2) send their state association or library/school this quick email text from the Immroth Committee Chair, Michael Furlong, and tell them that you thought they were inspiring and deserve the award.
NOMINATIONS FOR THE 2018 IMMROTH AWARD APPLICATION DEADLINE:
Just a friendly reminder! The nomination deadline for the 2018 Immroth award is Dec. 1st, 2017!
- Consider nominating an individual who has who upheld the standards of intellectual freedom with distinction. Self-nominations are also allowed. You do not have to be a librarian in order to be nominated.
- The Immroth award honors notable intellectual freedom contributions and demonstrations of personal courage in defense of freedom of expression.
- Immroth recipients represent the importance of upholding intellectual freedom.
So before the holidays, nominate for the Immroth! The winner receives $500 and a citation!
Deadline, December 1st!
