    We are looking for a cataloger with these qualities:



    • Professional cataloging experience in a public library.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Accuracy & speed in cataloging.

    • Familiarity with the Sierra ILS, LC Subject Headings, MARC, the Dewey Decimal System, the latest Anglo-American Cataloging Rules, RDA and OCLC manuals in cataloging and classifying library materials.

    • Multi-lingual skills in both reading and writing across a variety of languages are desired.


    What are the minimum qualifications and skills?



    • Master's degree in Library and Information Science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited program.

    • Professional public library cataloging experience.

    • Knowledge of and experience with the Dewey Decimal System, LC Subject Headings, and MARC.


    What happens next?
