Looking for an exciting and challenging opportunity?  Come work with us!  Here at Rod Library we are looking for a forward thinking, analytically-minded, team-oriented individual who can lead our assessment efforts as Assessment Librarian

You can view the full advertisement for the position at https://jobs.uni.edu/faculty/view/51430.

To give you a brief overview of the opportunity, Rod Library has long collected information about usage and anecdotal data about people's preferences regarding library products and services.  Of late, we have been working with our Office of Institutional Research to better make the case of the library's impact on and contribution to University strategic panning goals such as student success, diversity, and community engagement.  We're looking for someone to coordinate our assessment program and better communicate our value.  The position also includes a liaison and instructional component so the successful candidate will also be able to directly interact with students and faculty on campus and make a personal impact in these areas.

As a library, we are an organization which prides itself on nimbleness and innovation, and we strive to become the best comprehensive library in the country. We are gaining recognition on a national stage, having most recently won the 2016 ALA Gale Cengage Learning Financial Development Award for our crowdfunding campaign to purchase a Microsoft Surface Hub.  We are also dedicated to diversity, inclusivity and social justice, and seek to weave these values throughout our library policies and services to make sure all are welcome and successful.

Cedar Falls is also a wonderful city and community to be a part of.  Not too big, not too small, with easy access to Chicago and Minneapolis, Cedar Falls offers good schools, low crime, tons of bike trails, and Iowa country living. More information about the University and the community are available at https://www.uni.edu/resources/get-to-know-uni.

Interested?  Then don't delay!  The first consideration date is NEXT MONDAY, October 16!  We look forward to seeing your application! Have questions?  Contact me via this email.
