Pre-vote discussion: ACRL DACA Statement

The Board is invited to review the attached Board action regarding the ACRL Statement on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and have discussion during the period of 9/27/17 to 9/29/17. Please note the expedited discussion and voting period.

Please post comments regarding the appointment using threaded discussion to provide feedback regarding the content.

Following the discussion period, the Board will vote on the statement via virtual vote during the expedited voting period of 9/29/17 to 10/2/17 and confirm its vote at the 2018 Midwinter Meeting.

Irene and Adriane crafted a very strong statement, I appreciate their perspectives and their work to craft this important statement that supports this vulnerable segment of our popultaion.  I have nothing further to add to the statement.

i agree that Irene and Adriene have crafted a strong statement.  I don't think the current version needs any more work and I fully support this going forward.
