    The charming City of Carmel-by-the-Sea is looking for a new Library and Community Activities Director! 

    The Library and Community Services Director is an at-will position reporting directly to the City Administrator, Chip Rerig, and is a member of the City Administrator’s Executive Leadership Team. The Executive Team in Carmel-by-the-Sea must hold themselves and their subordinates to exceptional service standards and be guided by a five-star philosophy when it comes to customer-service.

    To join the City of Carmel-by-the-Sea Executive Team, you will need to qualify by possessing any combination of experience and training as follows:



    • Five years of increasingly responsible professional library experience including three years of management and supervisory experience.

    • Equivalent to a Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited college or university.


    The closing date for this recruitment is midnight, Sunday, July 16, 2017.
