    The NCSU Libraries invites applications and nominations for the position of Health & Life Sciences Research Librarian and Associate Director, Veterinary Medicine Library. This position develops and delivers high-impact learning experiences, including instructional sessions and workshops on library resources and tools, and on research skills such as data analysis and visualization, both in the classroom and online. S/He plans and conducts outreach and engagement opportunities, such as orientations, special events, and tours, for the entire One Health community, including referring veterinarians, health professionals at other institutions, clients of the Veterinary Hospital, and future veterinarians. The incumbent develops and manages specialized research collections; provides in-depth research consultation with students, instructors, and researchers; and collaborates with faculty, researchers, librarians, technologists and others on strategic interdisciplinary projects. As Associate Director, the incumbent is responsible for the Library in the absence of its director, including managing operations and overseeing the work of others. This position serves on library-wide committees, task forces, and teams, as well as working groups and committees within the College. NCSU librarians are expected to be active professionally and to contribute to developments in the field.
