ALA Connect User logins are disabled for a temporary "gray-out" period, to prevent new posts while we upgrade into the New Connect. This gray-out period will begin on March 26th, and the new site will be launched on April 25th.

I think we need to find some time to talk big-picture about our overarching philosophy related to standards, guidelines, frameworks, and the like. I am a little concerned about the forward motion on guidelines like this that refer to themselves as standards. Should we orient them to the differences? Should we ask this group to consider a framework approach? I don't want to see us create a new task force and let them wander off-course. But that can certainly happen after the TF is approved.
