    Entrepreneurship Librarian, Penn State, University Park The Pennsylvania State University Libraries seeks applications for the position of Entrepreneurship Librarian. This new faculty position will support the entrepreneurship curriculum and university-wide initiatives relating to entrepreneurship and economic development, including Invent Penn State. The Entrepreneurship Librarian reports to the Head of the Schreyer Business Library. This is a three-year non-tenure track fixed-term faculty appointment with an excellent possibility of renewal.


    The Entrepreneurship Librarian will:


    Serve as the formal liaison to the Entrepreneurship and Innovation minor.
    Develop tutorials and other learning objects to support residential and online entrepreneurship courses.
    Develop relationships with appropriate student organizations.
    Coordinate Libraries’ efforts to support Invent Penn State and other initiatives relating to entrepreneurship and economic development.
    Work collaboratively with Penn State Commonwealth Campus librarians who support entrepreneurship courses and initiatives.
    Enhance collections relating to entrepreneurship.
    Participate in course-related instruction, reference, consultation, and outreach services.
    Qualifications:


    Requires a Master of Library Science degree from an ALA-accredited institution (or equivalent); ability to work independently and collaboratively; excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills; a strong public service orientation; demonstrated expertise in supporting entrepreneurship studies or practice; strong commitment to diversity, equity, respect and inclusion.     Preferred Qualifications:


    Undergraduate degree or minor and/or graduate degree in business, economics, or a related field. Post-degree experience as a public services librarian or in supporting entrepreneurship. Demonstrated expertise with business resources, including specialized databases.

    Compensation and Benefits:


    Rank and salary are dependent upon qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include liberal vacation, excellent insurance and health care coverage, state or TIAA retirement options, and educational privileges. In addition, faculty in the University Libraries are afforded funds for professional development travel annually. Faculty may be asked to travel as official representatives of the Libraries to certain events and those trips are reimbursed at full cost within limits established by the University.
