Charge Membership to develop a process for making new members feel welcome. Follow up with new members, work with them to get them well placed in RUSA

Annual 2017

Establish a mentoring program for new members, especially students receiving free memberships

Annual 2017

We help fulfill objective 3 by inviting new members to RUSA 101. RUSA create a forum/hotline where members could ask questions and get expert responses. Asked by RUSA Pres. to research member engagement strategies, especially online. Establishing mentoring program – need a call for volunteer mentors, some way to screen volunteer mentors, may possibly pilot mentorship program with student members only. Target a RUSA 101 specifically to library school students? Make reference professors aware of the targeted RUSA 101 and free membership option for graduate students .
