    Young Minds Program Leader
    THE POSITION
    The Young Minds Program Leader has the opportunity to help address community needs identified in the library’s Young Minds strategy, our top priority. Building a foundation for a successful life is the outcome we strive to attain for the children and teens we serve. The work we do every day reflects this inspiration. We’re looking for a dynamic leader in touch with what motivates teens and tweens to engage and learn. The role is responsible for key areas in our Youth Services program that support our goals of high school graduation including Homework Help, Summer Reading Club and Teen Services. Part of the library’s Public Services leadership team, the Program Leader will implement strategy across the library system, coordinating services and program delivery for students, their families and educators. The position will assist in developing department metrics, performance measurement and goal setting. The Program Leader will also be a community connector with agencies to provide
    programs at our 23 locations. There is also an emphasis on staff training and the development of youth volunteers.

    Columbus Metropolitan Library is the place for out-of-school learning opportunities for students in central Ohio, and our programs and services focus on student success before, during and after school. The Youth Services Program Leader will be instrumental in furthering this work.

    Minimum Qualifications: ALA accredited Master’s Degree in Library Science plus 3-5 years progressively more responsible experience working with youth and teens. For more information and to apply, visit
