Electronic Resources/Collection Assessment Librarian
Ingram Library, University of West Georgia
Reporting to the Head of Technical Services, the Electronic Resources/Collection Assessment Librarian will manage the operations for acquiring, licensing and accessing all electronic resources including trials for prospective purchases. In addition, this person will participate in the development of workflows and policies for handling electronic resource acquisition, access, and preservation. As a member of the library faculty, this individual will provide expertise regarding innovations and trends relating to the management of electronic resources, participate in library and campus governance activities, contribute to creative and scholarly research, and serve in state and national organizations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
• ALA-accredited master's degree in library science
• At least five years of professional academic library experience, with demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the collection and analysis of usage data and evaluation of resources
• Demonstrated experience in negotiating with vendors and licensing e-content; effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of current trends, practices and issues associated with the acquisition and management of electronic resources
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments and divisions
• Must be eligible to work permanently in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with the ALMA integrated library system (i.e., ALMA link resolver, Primo discovery service, etc.)
• Experience with EBSCO Discovery Service
SALARY: up to $73,164, depending upon appointment rank
