    The University of California San Diego Library seeks applications from highly motivated, innovative, collaborative, flexible and service-oriented professionals to join the Library as Assistant Program Director of the Metadata Services Program and Head of the Books and Serials Metadata Unit (Assistant, Associate or Full Librarian).     Responsibilities of the Position
    Reporting to the Program Director of Metadata Services, the Assistant Program Director and Head of Books and Serials Metadata takes a leadership role in programmatic planning, assessment, and administration and is the librarian responsible for leading the efforts and directing the work of 5 FTE to describe and provide access to physical and electronic monographic and serial resources according to national standards. Working in close collaboration with the management team of Unit Heads in Metadata Services, the Assistant Program Director and Head of Books and Serials Metadata will provide expertise on the unique needs of book and serial formats in the multiple UC San Diego databases of record, including Roger, the DAMS, and other systems as necessary.
