Submission deadline is August 24, 2016.
In July 2017 the International Cartographic Association is holding their annual meeting in Washington D.C. As part of this meeting the Commission on Cartographic Heritage in the Digital Age is hosting a one day pre-conference workshop on “Mapping Tools for Non-Mapping Experts: Incorporating Geospatial Visualization Tools in Libraries.“ This session will highlight how librarians can easily incorporate user friendly geospatial visualization tools into their work – whether that is instruction sessions, workshops for faculty, graduate students or the community or other projects within your library.
If you are a librarian who has incorporated mapping tools, such as CartoDB, Leaflet or Neatline, into your library instruction, workshops or other projects, then please consider submitting a proposal for a presentation at the pre-conference.
Submission deadline is August 24, 2016. The submission should include the following information: a title and short abstract for your presentation and a short bio of the speakers. Please submit your proposals to Marcy Bidney (bidney@uwm.edu). Notifications will be made by August 26, 2016.
