    Boise State University, Albertsons Library seeks a highly motivated, innovative, adaptable leader with a thorough understanding of the evolving roles and changing landscape of academic libraries for the position of Associate Dean.


    The Associate Dean (AD) of the Library will provide leadership in building a culture that values inclusive excellence, innovation, collaboration, engagement, and communication; work collaboratively to articulate the vision and strategic priorities of the Library; champion the development, promotion and implementation these priorities and the infrastructure needed to achieve them; provide leadership support for the Dean of the Library in planning, budgeting, program development, marketing, personnel, and assessment; oversee internal operations, services and collections including personnel matters and supervision of Library Unit Heads; coordinate and align Library services and programs with University goals and priorities; represent the Library and the Dean in contacts with constituencies and at professional meetings and events both on and off-campus; undertake special projects assigned by the Dean; serve as the primary library administrator in the absence of the Dean. The Associate Dean (AD) will report directly to the Dean, University Library.

    Qualifications
    Required:
    ● Master’s Degree from an American Library Association accredited program
    ● Significant experience in various management positions
    ● Experience supervising employees with demonstrated ability to support, mentor and develop staff/faculty
    ● Established record of scholarship and service


    Preferred:
    ● Experience working with acquisitions, cataloging or other areas of technical services
    ● Experience with successful grant writing
    ● Demonstrated experience and/or commitment to the following: ability to cultivate and advocate for an environment of diversity and inclusive excellence, working collaboratively with diverse staff within the library and across campus, strategic planning, assessment, program development


    Salary and benefits: $95,000 minimum. Starting Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications. This position is a 12-month, tenure track faculty appointment.
