    Seattle University’s Lemieux Library and McGoldrick Learning Commons invites applications for an experienced, flexible, and innovative library faculty member to serve as our Coordinator of Teaching and Learning. This 12-month non-tenure-track position, at a rank of Assistant or Associate Librarian, is available September 1, 2016,


    The Coordinator will lead and coordinate our integrated instruction program including all instructional modalities (face to face, hybrid and online) that our library faculty provide. In addition to the internal leadership related to planning, best practices and assessment, the Coordinator will also work closely with key university groups to advance library instruction and information literacy initiatives on campus, in academic departments and throughout the curriculum. This position also participates in the provision of research assistance to students, staff, faculty and the public through our various services such as in person, online, email and research consultations by appointment.


    All members of the library faculty serve as Liaison Librarians to one or more academic programs, with responsibilities to maintain subject expertise, develop collections, provide specialized instruction (including for Core Academic Writing Seminars), create web-based resource guides, and communicate library policies, procedures, collections and services. We seek candidates who bring education, experience, or aptitude that enable them to serve as liaison in a variety of areas, but especially Nursing and health sciences.
