Librarian, Sr(Job Number: AHM0002SP)
Responsibilities:
High-level research for the Product Regulatory Office, VP’s, Managers, and staff in addition to R&D and other Honda departments
Archives/Collection development and maintenance of Honda publications and materials and industry resources
Develop and integrate new technologies to improve access to library resources and services
Identify and integrate electronic resources in Library collection
Train and assist users with searching the Library catalog and locating resources
Master’s of Science in Library Science or Information Science from an institution accredited by the American Library Association or equivalent experience
Seminars and continuing education classes in the Library Science and Information Technology field
Extensive knowledge of library systems, library organization, library outreach, planning, financial management and staff development
Demonstrate leadership skills, excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to manage effectively in high pressure situations and a rapidly changing environment
4-6 years’ experience as an information professional with an emphasis on online computer search and retrieval in the business, scientific, technical and legal areas
Detailed knowledge of resources in the automotive, motorcycle and power equipment industries
Experience with copyright compliance issues
Strong technical background needed to research and introduce additional new technologies
Experience with Integrated Library Systems (ILS)
Computer research and retrieval skills using online full-text/abstract data, such as SAE Digital Library and Westlaw, the Internet, and industry online resources
PC skills including Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, Visio, SharePoint, scanning and media software
Data and statistical analysis skills
Technical knowledge of Library systems and applications
