LLAMA webinar presents strategies for leading teams online

As technology continues to improve, more of our collaborative work is happening online. It’s often a more sustainable choice than traveling for face to face meetings, but it does pose new challenges for team leaders.  How exactly does one go about leading an online team?  And, how is it different from leading a team in person?

The Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA) will present “Keeping it Green: Strategies for leading online teams,” on Wed., Feb. 17, at 1:30 – 3:00 pm (Central time).  This webinar will feature a panel discussion by four librarians currently working in four-year higher education institutions. Each panelist has chaired and facilitated online teams for ACRL, ALA, various state and local committees, and within their own institutions.

At the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the main challenges to leading online teams in order to more successfully manage these issues.
  • Develop strategies to successfully manage and lead online teams.
  • Determine which online tools are the most appropriate in order to meet the needs of their meeting, project or event.
