ALA Midwinter Virtual Meeting for DCIG

Tuesday, January 19, 2016
1:00 pm to 2:30 pm, US/Central

Recording now available: http://ala.adobeconnect.com/p5aexk1ujda/

The Digital Curation Interest Group (DCIG) will be holding our ALA Midwinter meeting virtually this year, so hopefully you can make it even if you aren’t attending Midwinter in Boston. The meeting will take place a week and a half after Midwinter to give everyone time to travel back from Boston!
Please join us on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 1:00pm-2:30pm Central for the DCIG ALA Midwinter virtual meeting. We are pleased to have Brianna Marshall present at the start of the meeting on “Creative Ideas for Revitalizing Research Data Services.”
A bit more about her presentation: In this webinar, Brianna Marshall from the University of Wisconsin-Madison will reflect on the history, current state, and future of UW's Research Data Services group from the perspective of a new librarian who inherited an existing service. Brianna will focus on the ways RDS has reimagined its overall strategy, including services, organizational structure, and outreach, with an emphasis on takeaways for others working with data services at their institution.
After the presentation we will have a short business meeting and all attendees are encouraged to stay and participate.
