    Hello LHRT members --

If you want to get more involved with LHRT, now is your chance! Elections to LHRT's Executive Committee will take place in the spring, so we are looking for members who are ready and willing to serve as Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect, Secretary-Treasurer, and Member-at-Large. I have copied below a description of these positions.

Terms of office begin immediately following ALA's annual conference (around July 1, 2016). Officers are required to attend face-to-face meetings at the annual conference, but LHRT's midwinter meetings are held online. Please understand that submitting your name is no guarantee that you will appear on the ballot. All candidates will be vetted by LHRT's Nominations Committee, as all nominees must be current members of ALA and LHRT. Also, per LHRT bylaws, candidates for Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect and Secretary-Treasurer must have a record of prior service to the round table.

If you have further questions about any of these positions, feel free to contact Dominique Daniel (daniel@oakland.edu), LHRT Past-Chair and the current Chair of the Nominations Committee, or contact any current member of the Executive Committee. If you are interested in running, include a resume and a brief statement explaining why you wish to run for office.

The deadline to apply is **Wednesday, December 9, 2015**

We look forward to hearing from you!

    Bernadette Lear

    Member of Nominations Committee
