SustainRT Conference Call, September 17, 2015
Present: Madeleine Charney, Coordinator; Eileen Harrington, Member at Large; Matthew Bollerman, Secretary; Rebekkah Smith Aldrich, Member at Large; Betsy Evans, Treasurer; Rene Tanner ,Coordinator Elect
Meeting was called to order at 2:00 pm by Madeleine Charney.
No changes to the budget or financials since the last meeting.
Governance Working Group – (Ashley, Rebekkah and Matt) – Spoke with Paul Graller, ALA Conference Manager. No badge holders at upcoming meetings. Also print programs will become more optional. Will work with Paul to make ALA efforts more known and try to influence more changes. A phone meeting is being scheduled with ALA Executive Director and connecting with Sari Feldman.
Online Education – On Thursday, October 15, 12:15 to 12:45 EST, Miguel Figarro will be speaking. On December 17 a representative from Energy Star will be presenting.
Eileen reported on being able to access the web site and working on creating a database. She is always looking for more items to add to the database.
Marketing and Outreach – Looking for language to outline jobs for non-Board members. Group is promoting educational webinars and Project ARCC tweet up. The blog proposal was discussed.
No updates on the resolution.
Project ARCC – October 19, 1 pm EST, tweet up. Tonya will advertise. Check out projectarcc.org for further info. Looking to partner for social event at midwinter.
Chelsea Green is a publisher of resilient community titles is looking to convene meetings at libraries. They are interested in partnering. Rebekkah will approach about becoming a member of our group first.
Gmail/Youtube – looking for our own workspace. Will ask Pete if there is a policy about roundtables having their own channels.
Madeleine will reach out to former members to ask them to reconsider.
Midwinter – Two events, meeting of the Executive Board and a social event. Looking at Saturday for meeting and Sunday for social event.
Annual – Plans are for the Annual Meeting, Lightning Round and Rebekkah and Matt’s Sustainable Thinking program.
Candidates are needed for the roundtable.
