  • 1.  Newsletter - Yes

    Hello all,

Just an update to say that the newsletter is coming...but not today. In order to ensure that we do this right the first time, following ALA procedures and working within established systems to create a newsletter with long-term viability, it will take a bit longer.

Right now, we are working with Production Services to have a template created in the ALA email system. That should be done in not too long. The content will then be loaded and emails sent.

    Thank you for your patience,

    Chris

How's this coming along? I am interested in seeing some correspondence regarding opportunities to get involved with GameRT.

Now I know how those Kickstarter people feel as they write another update promising something coming soon. I do have some solid news to report, though. The template from ALA Production Services is done and I will be sending the content on to our new staff liaison, Tina Coleman, next week. Hopefully the first newsletter will follow by the end of the month.

Thank you for getting that newsletter out there. I look forward to the next issue after Midwinter.

Will future newsletters offer information on getting involved with GameRT? In the newsletter, I see that there's a call for a newsletter editor, and for a Con Liaison. How do general members get involved?

What welcome communications are available to new members? How soon after completing the Volunteer Form or GameRT Interest Form should members expect a response? Are there any resources for Library Sci or Info Sci students who are interested in focusing on Games in Libraries?
