Hello,
I am a librarian at Washington State University Vancouver and was very happy to find this group! Accessibility is a current focus for me and I was hoping for some people to talk to about it.
I am currently working on a usability test of three library databases for folks who use screen readers. I am wondering if any of you have done any testing of the accessibility of databases. If not what has your experience been, yourself, or in helping students? What research/data collection have you done, if not usability testing?
I'm hoping to find some other folks who have done or are planning to do research on database accessibility because I hope that together we might be able to advocate for some improvements. I know it is a David and Goliath type of venture but right now I want to give it a try.
