Here are my questions/comments:

-- Where is the migration of legacy data from our current system addressed?

-- Does spellcheck have to be a required feature?

-- What's the purpose of forms creation that submits to a database? (Desired Features > Groups and Group Collaboration > #6 & Desired > Sitewide Features > #10)

Great questions, Keri - thanks.

  1. The migration of legacy data - There's a line in the second paragraph of the Project Description that reads, "Our goal is to migrate existing content to a Software as a Service platform (SaaS) that integrates with iMIS...," but you're right that this needs to be stated more explicitly. I'll add a dedicated line in the required section.
  2. Spellcheck - This is based on the fact that spellcheck became a required feature in the current Connect due to a high level request.
  3. Forms and databases - This is kind of a dream wishlist item from ITTS, because we often get requests from units who want to get input from members about something and make the submitted data searchable/browsable. Unfortunately, we don't have the resources to implement that type of service in a timely manner.

Let me know if you have further questions about any of this.

For everyone else, a reminder that I still need your feedback so that we can issue the RFP on Monday.

This looks good to me. I also had the same question about spell-checking being required, given that most browsers have built-in spell-checkers, but I can't imagine that having one built into the new Connect will be that significant of a cost so I won't quibble. ;-)

I appreciate the emphasis on ADA- compliance: that certainly aligns with our users' needs and desires.
